Although our chiropractors care for more than just back pain, many patients visit us looking for relief from this common complaint. In fact, low back pain is the single leading cause of disability worldwide, according to the Global Burden of Disease 2010.

While some cases of back pain are caused by serious medical conditions, such as inflammatory arthritis, infection, fracture or cancer, the most common cause of back pain is stress to the joints, muscles, ligaments, spinal discs and nerves, which accumulates from day-to-day activities, such as;

Poor postural habits
Incorrect lifting and bending technique
Prolonged sitting and standing
Incorrect sleep posture
Poor office ergonomics
Sports injuries or accidents
Psychological stress
back-pain
lower back pain

How can a chiropractor help?

 It is recommended that low back pain sufferers choose the most conservative care first and surgery should be reserved as a last resort if other therapies fail. While pain medication, muscle relaxants or anti-inflammatory drugs may provide temporary relief, they are not designed to treat the root cause of the problem.

Chiropractic spinal adjustments are a drug-free, safe and effective form of initial professional treatment for low back problems. Join the millions of people worldwide who have not only found relief from back pain but a pathway to Full Potential Living through chiropractic care.
